Important to use bootable USB with latest Trisquel 11 update?

I have a bootable USB with Trisquel 11, looked in settings, Abrowser at the time was version 126 when I made it. Been using it for video conferencing on an hp laptop (where Trisquel is installed but does not boot up since I messed up an update) with no problems, whereas when videoconferencing with a Dell laptop where Trisquel 11 is installed, where Abrowser is now up to version 146, the picture freezes briefy every few seconds because the power supply does not charge the battery properly.
Question: Is it okay to access the internet with Abrowser version 126 on the bootable USB, or would it be better or safer to use version 146, in which case I would have to make a new bootable USB? I understand one can always use a bootable USB with Trisquel 11 with Abrowser 126 to install Trisquel, and then get it updated afterwards, but one can't update the Abrowser version that is on the bootable USB from 126 to 146.
Thanks in advance for any answers!
Updates to software fix vulnerabilities. Nevertheless, working on a live system with no permanent storage means anything bad happening to the live system happens in RAM, which is emptied after a reboot.
All that said, I guess you had rather solve the issue with your installed system. What videoconferencing system do you use (Jitsi is great)?
Have used jitsi in past. Was using galene demo with public/whatever (my internet provider does not allow private customers to install their own server). Asked the other person, they said the audio was fine, uninterrupted. I see the other person without any interruptions. The picture of me freezes very briefly every so often on the Dell, not on the hp. The battery of the Dell does not get charged. Have seen message before Bios that the power supply does not have enough W(?) to charge the battery, to get a different one, yet this is what was given to me by someone who wasn't going to use this device anymore. Asked at a computer store, they said one has to order from Dell directly, which I've dragged my feet on.
This could be explained by differences in hardware specs between the two machines. You can always upgrade Abrowser on the live system, with the obvious caveat that you will need to do it each time you start said live system if you have not configured it for persistent storage. I would rather reinstall Trisquel on the HP laptop.
> which I've dragged my feet on.
The recommended course of action in such situations is to upgrade feet to a brisker version.
@prospero "upgrade feet to a brisker version" very true!
Since you mentioned "This could be explained by differences in hardware specs between the two machines." thought to check Cheese on the Dell Inspiron 3558, since it uses the webcam as well. As it turns out, in 'Take Photo' mode, the picture freezes very briefly on a regular basis then resumes, and also on a regular basis the bottom third to up over half of the picture is grey then goes back to the full picture, the webcam light stays on the whole time. This 'part of picture is grey' as in Cheese 'take photo' mode was not visible to me during video conference, only that it regularly froze briefly.
Looking to replace a 15 year old hp Compaq mini CQ10-400CA with Trisquel mini 11 on it where wifi, sound and video all worked fine, that was dropped and doesn't charge and turn on anymore. Do you think Trisquel can be installed on a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon gen 7 with gen 8 chipset, or X1 Carbon gen 9 and sound and video will work? Looked on h-node but did not see those models mentioned there. Looked at which laptop models are suitable for GNU boot, but haven't found those where I live.
To answer my own question: Took bootable USB with Trisquel 11 on it along to used computer shop. Sales person was kind to access the BIOS of a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon gen 7, so the USB would boot up. The webcam appears to work well, haven't tried sound.
Wifi does not work. There's no ethernet port, so one would have to get a USB-C to ethernet adapter to access the internet, or a suitable USB wifi dongle. Looks somewhat complecate.
